A woman ordered grilled chicken from Chick-fil-A but was shocked to discover something else in her food. Commenters were divided on whether she should complain on social media about it.
In a viral TikTok video with 648,000 views, Andrea (@andreaf1121) shared her discovery.
“What is this?” she asked viewers while holding a piece of the chicken pinched between her fingers.
It also appeared to have something attached.
“It’s straight up plastic from wherever you get your chicken,” she continued.
The video’s caption also hinted at the consistency of the find.
“The plastic is crunchy too,” it read.
As the woman spoke and held the piece of chicken to the camera, her dog watched along very intently.
Not everyone is on her side
In the clip’s comments section, some had negative things to say about the fast food chain.
“Chickfilia is so gross. used to be good. Now its really bad,” user Megan wrote.
However, others criticized the woman for taking to social media to address the incident.
“I love the days where if you found something in your meal, you just walked in there and talked to the manager and got your money back.. now all y’all wanna do is just post videos about it,” user Willow wrote.
“Really not that deep,” user Leigh added.
The overall sentiment was that she should get her money back for her meal.
“Mistakes happen. Just ask for a refund,” another said.
“Girl it’s your next two meals are on them hope this helps,” one commented.
Does Chick-fil-A Offer Refunds To Customers?
According to the fast food chain’s website, whether or not a customer is entitled to a refund depends entirely on the rules of the store they bought from.
The refund would have to be requested at the restaurant where the food was purchased.
Whether it is approved is decided at the discretion of the rules at that specific location.
Generally, refunds are issued whenever an issue is promptly reported.

Do Customers Often Find Objects In Their Chick-fil-A Meals?
On Reddit, there have been instances of customers finding objects in their Chick-fil-A meals that simply did not belong there.
In one thread titled “Found a piece of metal in my nugget,” a customer provided a photo of an alleged piece of chicken that had a piece of wire in it.
Many guessed at where the metal could’ve possibly come from.
“That honestly looks like a piece from a nugget sifter, when it gets really worn there’s a lot of little pieces like that when the bottom of the sifter disconnects from the siding,” user tc_1703 wrote.
On Facebook, another customer discussed a “foreign object” found in a chicken sandwich from the restaurant.
