On Sept. 1, a woman (@kaily_may_sahm) shared her experience in a viral TikTok that has amassed 3.8 million views as of Saturday.
What Did The Customer Find Odd About The Chobani Creamer?
In the video, you can see her pouring the creamer with a slow, thick pour.
“Just opened up brand new bottle of Chobani creamer but it’s like glue?” read the video’s text overlay.
Overwhelmingly, viewers were shocked, with many sharing why they avoid Chobani products.
“Idk why ppl still get Chobani as if they don’t have multiple active lawsuits,” wrote one user.
“I stopped with Chobani due to the gleep gloop fiasco,” added another. “The chunks were too much.”
Some commenters even suggested why the creamer might have ended up like this.
“It probably went bad from being improperly stored at Target,” suggested one comment. “Reach out to the Target you purchased it from and ask if you can swap the bottle instead of posting on TikTok.”
What Likely Happened To The Chobani Creamer?
The strange texture does not necessarily mean Chobani made a defective product. However, a dairy-based creamer should not suddenly pour like glue. Chobani says its dairy creamers contain real cream, real milk, cane sugar, and natural flavors. The company describes them as containing six or fewer natural ingredients.
Several things could cause an unusually thick texture. Improper refrigeration could allow the product to spoil or change in quality. The FDA says refrigerated foods should stay at 40°F or below. It also warns consumers to discard questionable food. That makes the commenter’s Target theory possible, but it does not prove the store caused this texture. The creamer could also have experienced a manufacturing or storage issue before reaching the store.
The safest move is not to drink it. Consumers should also avoid tasting questionable food to determine whether it remains safe. Instead, shoppers should check the expiration or use-by information. They should also inspect the bottle for damage or signs of improper storage. If the product looks or smells unusual, the FDA recommends throwing it away.

What Is Chobani’s Reputation?
The brand has faced several lawsuits over the years. Those cases involve issues ranging from labeling claims to trademark disputes. Chobani has also faced genuine product-quality issues before.
In 2013, the company voluntarily recalled certain Greek yogurt products after quality concerns at its Idaho facility. Still, there is no reliable evidence showing that glue-like Chobani creamer happens frequently. The FDA maintains databases for recalls and consumer food complaints, but online anecdotes alone cannot establish a product defect rate.
