A Texas woman is sending shoppers on a hunt for one of the biggest wearable tech bargains they’ve seen in a while: an Oura Ring 5 for just $149.
Clarissa Teran (@clarissa_teran) shares the discovery that has shoppers checking their local Sam’s Club stores and attempting to get other retailers to price match.
The reported $149 price is a deal considering the Oura Ring 5 is the company’s newest-generation smart ring, which launched earlier this year.
“Run to Sam’s! I loveeee,” Teran captioned her video.
As of this writing, her post has more than 625,000 views.
Shoppers find other ways to score discounts
In the comment section, shoppers began exchanging tips for getting the ring at a discount, including a hack that involves Best Buy’s price-matching policy.
“Switch your location to [Miramar], Florida, and go price match it at Best Buy! Just did it in Houston,” one commenter advised. The idea is to change the selected Sam’s Club location online to one displaying the discounted price and then ask Best Buy to match it.
Another Houston-area commenter wrote that they had very different experiences at two locations, sharing a photo of a Best Buy receipt showing an original “comp value” price of $499 for the Oura Ring 5 in a size 7 gold, with a subtotal price of $189.99.
“I went to Katy since I was in the area & the manager did not want to match it,” she wrote. “Went to a different location in Houston and they did it no problem!”
A third commenter confirmed that “Best Buy price matched it for me at $189.99!!!!” adding that she “used Afterpay to pay for it too!!”
Whether this strategy actually works appears to depend on the store. “Best Buy did NOT price match for me,” wrote one commenter. “My Best Buy doesn’t wanna price match,” added another.
It would seem that a price discount on an Oura Ring 5 comes down to a store-by-store basis, with the amount fluctuating based on ring specs.
What makes the Oura Ring 5 so special?
The Oura Ring is a smart wearable designed to track health metrics including sleep, exercise, stress, skin temperature, and other wellness indicators.
The latest version, the Oura Ring 5, dropped in June 2026, bringing a slimmer design and upgraded sensors. According to Oura’s product information, the 5 is “40% smaller than Oura Ring 4,” comes in more sizing options, and features “a rebuilt battery” that lasts six to nine days on one charge.
The ring’s retail price starts around $399 and can go up to $499 depending on retailer and finish, making Teran’s reported $149 sale price a discount of more than 60%.
Most shoppers report the sale price is usually $189.99, though some, including Teran, have snagged the $149 price by combining the promotion with $40 in Sam’s Cash.
There’s also an additional expense to consider: Oura’s membership subscription. New members get their first month free, but continued access to the ring’s full range of health insights costs $5.99/month or $69.99/year.

That remains unclear. Sam’s Club currently lists the Oura Ring 5 on its website, but prices are restricted to members, and the retailer notes that “Prices may vary in club and online.”
Judging from comments across various social media posts, it seems that the discounted prices may only be available at certain locations and in particular sizes and finishes. Shoppers hoping to score a Best Buy price match should confirm the retailer’s eligibility requirements and location stock before making a trip.
For anyone who has been eyeing the Oura Ring 5 but couldn’t justify dropping half a stack, this might be the deal they’ve been waiting for.
