Philadelphia airport bartender works the morning shift. Then a Miami-bound woman in a bikini sits down: ‘She was a hot mess’

‘I always thought there was some kind of bartender code.’

A Philadelphia Airport bartender says she has many ‘crazy’ stories, but the one that sticks out involves a bikini-clad woman bound for Miami and the owner of a major business.

For better or worse, bartenders see people at their highs and lows—and even learn secrets meant to be kept hidden behind locked doors. For one Philadelphia Airport bartender, her inquisitive nature led her to uncover one person’s alleged dirty laundry.

Gigi (@heyitsgeeg) says she works from 3:45 am to noon. Bartending usually brings all kinds of bizarre stories; however, one specific instance that occurred a year ago stands out to her, and she shares it in a video with more than 50,000 views.

‘She was dating billionaires in Vegas’

“So, this girl comes in; her flight got delayed,” the bartender says. “She was wearing a bikini top, trying to go to Miami. She was a hot mess, and she was drinking, telling everybody her life story. She’s a stripper, and she’s homeless.”

Eventually, Gigi says the woman persuaded one man to sit next to her. They started drinking and flirting with each other. As the conversation progressed, the man’s alleged ownership of a specific local liquor company perked the content creator’s ears.

“It was probably one of the biggest liquor companies to date, and it was a local liquor company,” Gigi recalls. “Everyone in our area kind of knows what this is.”

But what one of her co-workers told her was even more shocking.

“I went to high school with him. He is married with a kid,” she reports the co-worker saying.

Due to the nature of the man’s and woman’s conversation, Gigi was disgusted and taken aback by that news. She says that after learning this information from her co-worker, the man abruptly closed both his and the woman’s tabs, and they both left.

‘I’m a Spy Kid’

As a self-proclaimed nosy person, Gigi says she poked her head out of her bar, subtly observing what the two were planning.

“She’s walking in front of him, and she makes a hard right to the companion bathroom,” the bartender says. “Then, he’s on his phone, looking down, looking up, looking down, looking around, and skirts right into the companion bathroom.”

Consequently, curiosity led Gigi to stand in front of the bathroom. Sure enough, she says she overheard them hooking up, which she relayed to her co-workers. Because of the discovery, she felt stuck in a moral quandary: whether or not to inform the man’s wife about the romantic rendezvous.

“But my thing is like, I’m just a nosy person. I’m not involved,” she explains. “I don’t want to ruin somebody’s family because a man sucks.”

Still, she felt compelled to inform the woman because she would want to know if she were in the wife’s shoes. As a result, she says she posted anonymously on a Facebook group.

“I wrote on ‘Are We Dating The Same Guy?’ as an anonymous person,” she shares, providing detailed information about the escapade. Since the company is huge, she didn’t disclose the name.

“Was I right or was I wrong?” Gigi asks.

‘You’re a girls girl and I’m here for it’

In the comments section, how Gigi handled the situation was the main focus of a heated debate among viewers.

“It’s giving Snooki and Jenni when they write Sammy a note on Jersey Shore when you’re fake typing the post you made but yeah you did the right thing,” one viewer commented.

“You did the right thing!!! You’re a girls girl and I’m here for it,” another echoed.

A third said, “You’re not ruining a woman’s family or life by making sure that she has the opportunity to leave someone who is not a good partner. 100% that woman should be well aware of what was going on.”

“Nooooooooo you don’t tell the wife! She will know without you,” a fourth remarked.

“None of your business!! U don’t know the wife,” a fifth agreed.

Are wealthy men more likely to cheat?

Generally speaking, men as a whole are more prone to being unfaithful than women. Data reported by Brides found that men are 7% more likely to cheat.

Financial status doesn’t exempt them. Think of CEOs, celebrities, and politicians with a ring on their finger who’ve been caught in cheating scandals, to name a few. Studies show that there is a reason why these wealthy men are more willing to commit adultery. You may have already guessed it, and it can be anyone’s downfall: an inflated ego.

A University of Rochester study revealed that power dynamics in relationships influence this desire. Due to this exaggerated sense of self, they are more willing to seek other partners, believing they have more options, which can ultimately destroy the relationship.

“When people feel powerful and believe they have more relationship options than their current partner, they might be more inclined to pay attention to other potentially promising alternatives,” the university’s Department of Psychology professor and co-author of the study, Harry Reis, stated. “The belief in having other options, like other possible partners, can weaken their commitment to their current relationship.”
